Trendwise Inks Global Distribution Deal

By | Trendwise Announcement | No Comments

Hot on the heels of their successful three month residence in China, backed by Austrade and the National Innovation and Science Agenda, real-world data analytics company ‘Trendwise®’ today announce that a strategic alliance has been formalised with international Wi-Fi marketing platform ‘MobiPromo®’.

MobiPromo is the proprietary, Wi-Fi marketing and monetisation platform that provides the most advanced and comprehensive range of in-session advertising of any Wi-Fi marketing system available. Their clients include global media agencies, municipalities, airports and telecommunication companies.

Trendwise’s consumer behaviour monitoring technology provides asset operators with a revolutionary and highly disruptive way to optimise their business and increase margins, thanks to this new source of live, relevant, real-world data.

“Data analytics will continue to grow fast and form a crucial part of our offering, and we are very excited to have found the right partner. Trendwise understands the sector like no other, which opens up new opportunities to extract enormous value from our expanding coverage” said MobiPromo COO Johannes Lind.

MobiPromo owns and operates over 50,000 best-in-class hardware access points across more than 60 countries, and has eight offices globally, including Beijing, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Atlanta. This global footprint provides Trendwise with the network to efficiently scale its behavioural analytics platform, and enables MobiPromo to increase market differentiation and add additional value for its already impressive and growing list of Fortune 500 clients.

“This Trendwise and MobiPromo partnership unlocks previously unrealised capabilities for our two systems to integrate. It’s an extremely compelling combination of widecast observation points capturing offline behaviour for Trendwise to analyse, interpret and offer to global markets including out-of-home advertisers, retail and smart cities” said Trendwise CEO, Clinton House.

Subscriptions to Trendwise widecast data will be sold through MobiPromo’s network by precinct, with varying options of granularity and customisation. Anonymous, passive Trendwise data will also enrich in-session advertising, providing a more contextual experience for users of the MobiPromo Wi-Fi platform.

Hong Kong is the first market to enjoy the benefits of this alliance, where advanced discussions are already underway with one of the region’s largest out-of-home advertising corporations.

Trendwise™ selected for first Shanghai Landing Pad

By | Trendwise Announcement | No Comments

Perth-based analytics company, Trendwise by Inhouse Group, is thrilled to announce that it has been selected in the very first cohort of Australian companies to participate in an acceleration program at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission’s (Austrade) new Landing Pad in Shanghai, China.

As part of the Australian Government’s National Innovation and Science Agenda, five ‘innovation hubs’, also known as Landing Pads, have been established in San Francisco, Berlin, Singapore, Tel Aviv and Shanghai.

The Landing Pads give Australian entrepreneurs access to a network of contacts and opportunities across the globe. Trendwise is taking part in an intensive residency at an established co-working space and receiving tailored business development assistance from Austrade.

During the first week, Trendwise was formally welcomed by Mr. Graeme Meehan, Australia’s Consul-General to Shanghai.

“I commend their decision to explore the China market,” said Mr Meehan.

“Shanghai is a key part of China’s dynamic innovation environment, and provides the perfect starting point for these Australian startups to grow their business in China.”

In Shanghai, the program consists of a 90-day placement at the XNode co-working space. XNode and their ‘Xelerator’ program host some of the world’s most innovative technology startups, providing in-market business development, mentorship and partnership opportunities.

“The first weeks here in Shanghai have opened my eyes wider than they’ve ever been. The scale of the opportunity that exists for Australian companies in China is enormous,” said Clinton House, Trendwise CEO and founder.

“Austrade has assembled a world-class network here and I am excited to see what the next few months bring.

“I’ve spent some time with fellow Landing Pad participants, Phil from Euclideon,  Teresa from Chozun and Pawan from Language Your Way, who themselves have fantastic products and contribute their unique perspectives of the local market.

“We’ve even begun identifying collaboration opportunities in China together,” said Mr House.

Trendwise’s selection in the cohort reinforces the company’s 2017 commitment and expansion focus on Asia and beyond.

With China’s population expected to reach 1.42 billion by 2020, the Trendwise intelligent location platform enables multiple stakeholders to gain business insight and understanding of highly contextual real-world analytics.

“China is a multi-billion dollar market for smart city analytics and retail precincts,” said Peter Rossdeutscher, Chairman of Inhouse Group.

“Leveraging Austrade’s local market knowledge and networks enables high-growth companies like Trendwise to capitalise on that potential.

“We are delighted to be part of the first cohort at the Landing Pad in Shanghai.”
