Shanghai Landing Pad Announcement

As most have you would have seen from our media release last week, we are thrilled to announce that Trendwise has been selected in the very first cohort of Australian companies to participate in an acceleration program at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission’s (Austrade) new Landing Pad in Shanghai, China.

As part of the Australian Government’s National Innovation and Science Agenda, five ‘innovation hubs’, also known as Landing Pads, have been established in San Francisco, Berlin, Singapore, Tel Aviv and Shanghai. The Landing Pads give Australian entrepreneurs access to a network of contacts and opportunities across the globe. Trendwise is taking part in an intensive residency at an established co-working space and receiving tailored business development assistance from Austrade. In Shanghai, the program consists of a 90-day placement at the XNode co-working space. XNode and their ‘Xelerator’ program host some of the world’s most innovative technology startups, providing in-market business development, mentorship and partnership opportunities.

Clinton House has said, “The first weeks here in Shanghai have opened my eyes wider than they’ve ever been. The scale of the opportunity that exists for Australian companies in China is enormous.”

“Austrade has assembled a world-class network here and I am excited to see what the next few months bring.”

The minister heard about the role of Trendwise in understanding economic impact and return on tourism marketing investment.

Smart City Workshops

Roundtable Discussion

  • City of Melville – 9th March 2017

We were honoured to be invited to the Culture Leaders Roundtable Discussion at the City of Melville to share our perspective in the smart city environment.

Clinton House attended as a representative from Trendwise and was amazed at the great ideas that were generated from the day.

The City of Melville has partnered with cultural research firm, Project Sisu, to undertake a cultural planning project. This initial roundtable encouraged insights, critical commentary and imagination from a select group of professionals to stretch the cities thinking and ambition that will inform their ultimate cultural strategy and plan.

Smart City Readiness Workshop

  • City of Canning – 10th March 2017

Trendwise director Greg Riebe and Head of Communications, Ajay Johnson attended a daylong workshop facilitated by Adam Beck from the Smart Cities Council Australia New Zealand at the City of Canning. This workshop was put into place to help its community of stakeholders understand the opportunities to enhance the sustainability outcomes of the city by embracing technology, data and intelligent design.

“It was great to be involved in the initial session of transitioning the City of Canning into a Smart City,” said Ajay Johnson.

“Trendwise works best when it is installed from the beginning, capturing before, during & after data, therefore it was perfect for our technology to be discussed in the primary brainstorming session.”

2016: A Year in Review

By | Trendwise Newsletter | No Comments

2016 has been both an eventful and active year for Inhouse Group and Trendwise.  It began with an expanded Board, the rebranding of our core product from iinsights to Trendwise™ as well as refocusing the business offering to a pure data analytics platform.

With this came new leads into global brands, the assignment of international resellers and the appointment of Alice Manners to the Board. Not to stop there, follow up trips to Asia consolidated our expansion into exciting new markets.

With the global spotlight focused on the impact of data across all organisations – public and private – the value of Trendwise visitor and behavioural analytics in the real world continues to grow.

Organisations are discovering that the value of passively collected data such as that of Trendwise significantly enhances, and forms a foundation for the opt-in variant. This momentum will only continue into 2017 and beyond.
